On September 23, 2014, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will host the Climate Summit at UN Headquarters in New York. The Summit will engage heads of state, leaders of finance, business and civil society and local leaders from public and private sectors to promote climate action.
In anticipation of this historic event, thousands will gather in New York City for the People’s Climate March on Sunday, September 21. This march, which will occur on the International Day of Peace, is just part of a global movement spanning cities worldwide. It will urge the leaders at the Summit to take the action necessary to create a just, safe and peaceful world with an economy that works for people and the planet.
For more information about the march and other coordinated events happening all around the world, visit the People’s Climate March website.
